ADOPT A BED

By adopting a bed, you will be helping to cover the costs that The Love of Christ Ministries incurs caring for the many children who are brought to them because of abandonment, neglect or illness. In any one bed in a month’s time,there may be

  • An infant brought in for medical respite on a short term basis,
  • A baby in care until his/her mother is well enough to leave hospital,
  • Or a baby placed with TLC until a forever family is found.

You may even sponsor a child who lives at TLC permanently and follow them as they grow and change throughout the years.

When you adopt a bed, you will receive quarterly updates about the activity in that particular crib, bed or incubator. You will read and see photos of the children that your money actually went to support. You will share the joys of adoption, as well as the heartbreak of seeing the photos of the tender little ones that no amount of love and care could save.

Our inspiration for the Adopt a Bed program came from the Adoptive parents of the Netherlands. They launched the program almost two years ago, and it has been instrumental in raising awareness and funds in their country.



The Love of Christ Ministries is licensed by the South African government to care for up to 30 infants at any one time, in addition to the 20 children adopted by the Jarvis family. It is The Love of Christ Ministries’ goal to be licensed for up to 50 beds at a time. All indicators are positive for this change to take place imminently. With your help, 20 more babies each month will receive the lavish love and top quality care that The Love of Christ Ministries brings to these abandoned little ones.

TLC-USA’S GOAL IS TO ASSIST IN SECURING A RECURRING FUNDING STREAM FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST MINISTRIES, S.A., AND THEN BRANCH OUT TO ASSIST OTHER SIMILAR ORPHANAGES IN SOUTH AFRICA. YOU CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN BY SIGNING ON TO ADOPT A BED TODAY!

 Individual contributions do not cover the complete cost of care, so beds will be sponsored by a variety of individual donors. The Love of Christ Ministries is a registered charity in South Africa. TLC-USA does not yet have its' 501.c.3 status as a US non-profit. Our fiscal agent, Pittsburgh East Rotary Club, is a registered US non-profit.
